In the spring months, the renovation of the five-star Alcron Hotel in the centre of Prague got underway, with the aim of introducing a new design throughout the building. The investor is WSF Group, which commissioned the OM Consulting project management team to manage the project in the form of construction management. It included the renovation of rooms, the hotel lobby and restaurant, and the addition of a roof terrace with several bars.
The building is located in the monument zone of Prague, only a few minutes walk from Wenceslas Square, and targets mainly foreign clients. The new fresh image will also include a new name for the hotel, Almanac X Prague.
In the initial phase, our team provided design control, created schedules, performed value engineering and cost estimates. We also provide selection and coordination of contractors for individual parts of the construction, control the quality of work and delivery dates, both construction and FF&E (fixed furniture & equipment). We cooperate with other specialized companies for the implementation.
In December 2022, we successfully completed 3 floors of the Alcron Hotel Prague and part of the public areas. And in March 2023, 15 months after the start of the reconstruction of the hotel, we managed to get the approval for the building permit. The Hotel Almanac X Prague is now completely open and guests can admire the new design, which successfully combines historic Art Deco elements with a modern minimalist character inspired by Prague.
