The experts at OM Consulting have developed their own OMCIS project management software, tailored for both large and small scale construction projects. The aim was to digitise processes to speed them up, facilitate approval and traceability. All documents are stored in one place, which in addition to its storage function also allows active project management. The aim is to effectively control the performance of tasks and produce consistent outputs.
“There is no similar project management software on the Czech market, so we decided to invest in our own development. We want to make the whole project management process more efficient and, above all, simpler for easier client orientation. In this way, he can view all the documentation, monitor the individual stages of implementation and approve the necessary documents in one place,” says Aleš Kocábek, Executive Director of OM Consulting.
The main functions of the OMCIS project management software modules include:
– project documentation: the process of commenting on and approving project documentation, where the comments of all participants are clearly captured in one table
– engineering: overview of the status of individual permits and list of documents for approval
– finance: administration, approval and commenting on change procedures
– implementation: approval of samples, technological procedures and defect notifications. The OMCIS software also enables the digitisation of minutes from meetings and inspection days, including their automatic distribution, digitisation of documents such as site handover and handover/acceptance of works, etc. It also serves as a directory for generating contact sheets.
“We have been developing and intensively testing the project management software for the past year and a half, and it has subsequently proven itself in live operation. The positive feedback from our clients confirmed us that we are moving in the right direction, so we decided to use it on all future projects,” says Aleš Kocábek.
Members of the development team include Ing. Tereza Kubcová, Ing. Igor Smola, Ing. Vojtěch Jeníš, Ing. Pavel Kubica and Ing. Petr Lipš.
The software was implemented by USPIN.
