Jan Kupka has more than 20 years of design experience, which he gained as an independent architect on projects such as Vila “Pod Habrovou” in Barrandov, Golf Resort Kunětická Hora (residential complex), cross – dock hall in Česká Třebová and also in cooperation with large studios such as AED Project, a.s., including projects of the brewery in Kaunas, apartment houses Šlikova and Jeseniova and preparation of the zoning decision for the residential project Grafická ulice (Smíchova, Prague).
Looking back on the results he achieved in architectural competitions, Jan Kupka is particularly appreciative of his prize for the design of the Four Seasons Hotel in Křižovnická Street (Karlín, Prague) and in the competition for the Jan and Meda Mládek Foundation Gallery – Kampa Museum in Prague’s Lesser Town. From 2013 to 2019, he was Head of Design at PWI/Globus ČR.
He is a graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Czech Technical University in Prague and has been an authorized architect since 1997. He taught at the Prague UMPRUM and the University of Regional Development.
