BioPharma Hub – A State-of-the-Art Pharmaceutical Research Center in Brno

A unique project called BioPharma Hub was launched on the Brno-Bohunice university campus, and we helped bring it to life in collaboration with Synett.

Our role

For this project, we prepared the construction implementation documentation (RDS) for the EPS and NZS systems. Synett approached us at an advanced stage of construction with the goal of bringing the project to a successful completion and handover. Thanks to the expertise of our colleagues and excellent cooperation with the general contractor, Metrostav, we were able to successfully complete the construction, including all final inspections and occupancy inspections.

A space where pharmaceutical innovation takes shape

The new building of Masaryk University’s Faculty of Pharmacy features state-of-the-art research infrastructure focused on the development of new drugs and the support of scientific activities. The facility offers extensive laboratory space, including areas with Biosafety Level 3 (BSL-3) certification, modern classrooms, offices, a data center, and a lecture hall. The building is situated on sloping terrain and features three underground floors and six above-ground floors.

A Significant Investment in Science and Research

The project was funded by the National Recovery Plan and the European Union. In 2026, the building received its final occupancy permit, and it is scheduled to become fully operational during the 2026–2027 academic year. The total investment cost amounted to approximately 4 billion CZK.
